quick Avi update
We're a little bummed to find out that the movie we really wanted decided to go with someone older. We knew it might come down to that but we told her, again, that it was pretty amazing to even get a call-back when her age did not fit the specs. Usually they would just cross them off or not see them at all so she must have really impressed them!
Meanwhile, we still haven't heard anything on the other one but she is staying busy. She has four auditions this week and all for good stuff (Nickelodeon series, Longhorns commercial and two movies). She is doing her best work ever!! So excited to have her in front of all these great casting directors, directors and producers. :-)

Call-back went great...
....and now we wait!
This was her first Skype audition/call-back. It is a different feel but she did great with it. It was so nice to personally connect with folks so far away (LA). Technology rocks!!! We'll keep everyone posted. :-)

more role updates
We have not heard anything on "Hidden" yet...that's the Warner-Brothers full SAG lead we're especially keeping our fingers crossed for.
BUT we got word last night that she has a call-back via Skype on Thursday for "Summer Snow". This is also a lead in a SAG Low Budget. Again, she understands how very cool that is that they are even willing to do a call-back via Skype to accommodate us not having to travel so far. Also, they were originally looking for local hire for Lexington, KY (filming there and LA) but are asking her for a call-back...so glad her talent is really being seen.

she's still in the running...will know more Monday
Got an email from her agent last night letting us know that she is still in the running for the role in the "big one" we're hoping for. Said they'd know more Monday. Please keep those digits crossed.

quick update on one of the roles she's up for
We've been as anxious as everyone...waiting is so hard! This is what we got from her agent this morning:
"Hi all! Jillian and I just spoke to casting last night…she loved AVI, just adores her! She is waiting to hear back from director as he is watching tapes. We fear it could come down to age, but lets cross that when we get to it! "
The fact that she's even in the top of the list when her age was not right says something! They were wanting someone 9-11 to play 7-8. They often do this because each year that a child is older they can work longer on set. So still waiting but was great to get an update and made her morning. :-)

Meeting Evil Trailer!!!
How exciting!! There were NUMEROUS spots in this trailer that we were at while Avi was filming! The end with the fight scene in the back yard we were invited to come watch. They loved having her around and she was huddled up in the Video Village. She loved watching everything! Her nature got the better of her though when she felt terrible for the stunt doubles (at the end fight scene) as they came to the "warm room" in between takes and she went in to ask them if she could make them some hot cocoa or coffee. :-) She stayed up until 3:00 am and still didn't want to leave!! It was such a fun experience and we are so excited to see the movie coming to theaters on May 5!!!

Last night.
She came to set as a Zombie Prom Queen and now she's a zombie something. She's going with Zombie Tinkerbelll!! LOL!! Working on a comedic short as a tricker-treater but she's especially thrilled because they needed some extra kids and her brothers agreed! We were shocked. I know it's because they are in costume. ;-)

Well that was an experience. This was her first Participation gymnastics meet and the judging was TOUGH!! She did not qualify to go on but only missed by a couple of places. :(. She and I are so proud though that her Beam made a dramatic improvement. She has been working so hard and got her best score yet on it. So back to the gym to start work for next meet season. :-)

Down to the last day!
Filming wraps on "The Age of Reason" tonight/tomorrow. The shoot time is from 5:30pm tonight until 5:30am....gonna be the longest one yet. Kicker is that we have a field trip tomorrow. I promised everyone that we would not eat their brains since I know we will be zombies. I asked Avi if she was up for it and she looked at me sideways...as usual. Never seen schedules slow her down. :-o
So, her take on working with Tom Sizemore..."He is intense! PERFECT for the part!"
He is a very good actor and it has been fascinating to watch his process. She is feeling pretty proud since he told her several times how talented she is and stopped me to say the same very sincerely. She is looking forward to getting to film a good long scene with he and Myles tonight. :-)
